Laura Peretick

Since 2013, I have facilitated weekly art workshops in a men’s prison. Witnessing the laughter, lightness, vulnerability, and joy in such a dark place, is evidence of how powerful and transformational the act of creating together is.

 

I also facilitate biweekly art therapy groups at Dawn Farm - a residential addiction treatment center. The act of creating, enjoying the process, and letting go of the outcome are guiding factors as we create art together. 

 

In addition to these volunteer art groups, I am also employed by the Family Empowerment Program. I was hired and entrusted to launch a new art program. The intention of this new art program is to help the residents grow as artists & build a community.
